Where Do The Cars Go?

This score explores theme through harmony. A chord progression was selected to represent the memory of the child, which was playful and energetic. Instrumentation is vibrant to represent the imagination and innocence of the child. A complimentary chord progression was selected for the old traveler which represented nostalgia and repression. This section is written for solo piano to communicate the loneliness of the man. These two themes culminate during the acceptance track in which they are layered on top of each other to form polychords that signify the acknowledgement of the past and the pain of the present coming together to form a more complete perspective.
