I Think We Should End Things

This score explores music from a diegetic perspective. The film had two primary settings: the memories of the lead character Sophie and the present day anniversary dinner. During the memory scenes, the music shifts to represent Sophies thoughts while recalling the memory itself, we hear this through layered progressions that build until her awareness snaps back to reality. When we are back in the present environment we hear instrument representation of a live small jazz combo that is playing at the dinner venue. This thematic representation makes the audience feel like they are having the same experiences as Sophie throughout the film.
